As the proud owners of the Papillons with Karyzma, we happily share our passion with you.

My husband, Scott, and I, Cheryl; married in March 1979. We spent our first 7 years together with Scott serving in the US Army.
We have two grown children whom we are so very proud of. Recently we welcomed our new "daughter" (in-law), Angel; to our family circle.
We are well-blessed with the love and support of many friends and family whom we are infinitely grateful for.
Purchasing our current home in 1989, we reside in Spotsylvania County, Virginia.
This is approximately 1 hour south of our nation's capital, Washington D.C. and
1 hour north of Virginia's state capital, Richmond.

Our fist show Papillon male, Mavryck, came home in 2003.
He did exceedingly well in the show ring.
From that point forward, we have been hooked on showing off our cherished Papillons!
We also enjoy training our Papillons to show good manners so others can also
enjoy being in their company - and vice-versa.

I decided in the late 90's that a Papillon just had to take up residence in my heart and home. After conducting much research into the breed.
Our first "companion only" Papillon came home in 2000. Indy Cheyenne is such a special little boy who quickly won our hearts. Evan Lei'
Karyzma was our second "companion only" Papillon. Again, what a special little boy. He has an innate ability to "size another canine up" and
determine just what its temperament is - thus, just how to appropriately approach them. This ability helped enormously with the many
rescue dogs we brought into our, now dissolved, Hazen's Haven for Small Dogs Rescue and Rehabiliation.

It appears, a number of people who are smitten with the toy breeds, seem to have the mindset that since the toy breed is a portable,
lap-warming companion, they really do not need to be taught how to behave. It is my hope that I am able to help, at least in some small
way, to debunk this mistaken mindset.
The Papillon breed is far more than another pretty face or an adornment for your home.
They are highly intelligent and ambitious, excelling at many various pursuits.
Consistently ranking in the top 10 in the Intelligence Ratings.
They not
only should be, but in fact deserve to be well-trained so they may enjoy a more fulfilled life.
If you reside in our area, you could benefit from attending classes at the highly regarded,

Pups N Iron Training Facility,
the local Greater Fredericksburg Kennel Club also hosts training classes.

Canine Rescue is a deep-rooted passion that I have held dear for the majority of my life. I currently serve on the Board of Trustees and as a
Regional Coordinator of Disctrict 3, which includes MD, NC, VA for the...

Papillon Care and Rescue Trust

In addition, I "free-lance" volunteer with many other ethical canine rescue groups as I am able.
The needs of canine rescue are enormous.
There are countless ways in which one may provide support.
If you can, please consider becoming a volunteer if you are not already.

124 Ways to Volunteer With Rescue

124 Ways to Volunteer with Rescue is a good list to browse through now and then to see if you may be able to provide some much needed
rescue support. Chances are good, there will be a way you too can support rescue!    I welcome your call, or e-mail, if you have questions
pertaining to rescue.

Since 2004 we have been members in good standing of the

Papillon Club of America

I have been busy recreating our Karyzma Papillons home on the web.
I have discovered that designing, then maintaining, a website presence one may take pride in is a constant demand on one' s time.
I have also discovered I enjoy this work. We truly hope you will enjoy your visit to our cyber-home!

You may find this website will have a few pages still in various stages of construction.
We will do our best to make the wait for completion very much worth your wait.

Throughout the various web-pages which comprise our website,
our aim is to share our mission,  beliefs and practices with you.
It is with a sense of pride that we introduce our cherished family, both canine and human.

Please feel welcome to contact us with any feedback or questions you may have
which pertain to this website or to our Papillons with Karyzma!
